Exercising – How You Can Make It A Daily Habit?

Exercise…  Nothing freaks people out than that word when it comes to incorporating it into our daily lives. But before that, I want to ask you a question: Do you know why majority of teenagers are not fat even when they eat so much and do not exercise than we the adults do?

It’s because, in youth, our metabolism is at it’s peak, and fat burning rate, that is conversion of food to energy is more rapid. However, as we grow older, our metabolism slows down. To maintain that same rate of fat burning efficiency we had in our teenage years, we need a physical activity. When there is an absence of a physical activity, most of the foods we eat are stored as fat and few are converted to energy. The case is worse; when we live a very sedentary lifestyle such as when we do office work that require us to sit in one place for several hours daily. And because of this very problem, we naturally become comfortable not doing any exercise. Consequently, overtime, we add weight, until we suddenly become conscious that we are fat.

Eye Health- Benefits Of Lutein And Zeaxanthin

Good nutrition is important to keep your eyes healthy and functioning their best throughout your lifetime. Two very important eye nutrients that can reduce your risk for macular degeneration and cataracts have names you may not be familiar with: lutein (LOO-teen) and zeaxanthin (zee-ah-ZAN-thin).

Lutein and zeaxanthin are compounds called xanthophylls (ZAN-thuh-fills), which are yellow pigments that occur naturally in many plants and vegetables. Xanthophylls belong to a class of organic compounds called carotenoids, which also includes orange and red plant pigments. Though lutein is considered a yellow pigment, in high concentrations it appears orange-red. In nature, lutein and zeaxanthin appear to absorb excess light energy to prevent damage to plants from too much sunlight, especially from high-energy light rays called blue light.

Chicken Eggs: Good or bad?

Chicken Eggs are powerhouses of nutrition, packed with protein and a range of 18 vitamins and minerals. They're also hugely versatile. Almost all eggs are edible but the most commonly consumed are Chicken eggs. Bantam, quail, duck and goose eggs are also readily available and vary in size and taste. Eating one chicken egg a day isn’t so bad for you but if you must (especially for healthy people), then reduce taking the yolk which contains all the cholesterol. Eating egg yolk increases the amount of LDL in your blood. HDL is the so called good cholesterol and LDL is the bad cholesterol. LDL and HDL are lipoproteins that are produced by your liver to transport fats. LDL contains more cholesterol than HDL.

Myths abound when it comes to sex, sexual positions, and conception, says Donnica Moore, MD, a women's health expert based in Far Hills, N.J. "One common misconception is that it's best to have sex all the time because the greater the number episodes of intercourse, the greater the chance of conception," she says. But that's not true. "When trying to conceive, it's better to have sex every other day around ovulation to give the guy a chance to recharge his sperm count," she says.

Is Red Meat Your Best Choice For Protein

Red meat is one of the most controversial foods in the history of nutrition. Red meat is a good source of protein which helps to build the muscles and bones; it is also high in Iron, an important nutrient young women need in their child bearing years. Red meat has a high amount of saturated fat, and this has the increased tendency to raise blood cholesterol. It also contains Vitamin B12 which nourishes the nerves and DNA as well as the red blood cells. Zinc is another nutrient derived from red meat which helps to keep the immune system strong and effective to prevent diseases. Red meat comes with a calorie count of 176, with 20 grams of quality animal protein and 10 grams of fat. It is also rich in important nutrients like Creatine and Carnosine. Non-meat eaters are often deficient in these nutrients, which can have negative effects on various aspects of health, including muscle and brain function.

Ovarian Cysts And Herbal Remedy

Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled growths in a woman’s ovaries. This may happen in just one or both of the ovaries. Usually ovarian cysts are harmless and often go away on their own. Sometimes though ovarian cysts can grow so much they rupture, or cause damage to the ovary. They may grow so much they cause displacement of the reproductive organs or twist themselves. Damage from a ruptured ovarian cyst may cause scar tissue build-up, and/or the formation of adhesion, attaching the ovary to other parts of the internal body.

Ovarian cysts are most common in women of childbearing years, but can rarely develop in postmenopausal women. A woman’s ovaries are about the size and shape of an almond. It is amazing that something so small and delicate can hold thousands of eggs at birth. It is also quite amazing that something so small can develop a cyst. In fact ovarian cysts can become quite large over time. Thankfully there are natural remedies that can help your body to rid itself of the cysts naturally and without surgery.

Cancer And Soursop

When it comes to matters of health, I don’t joke with them, a lot of people wait until there is a serious issue before they start a safety measure. At the rate I get Blackberry broadcast message on cancer, I begin to wonder more and more.  Why can’t people just do things to help them get away from this deadly disease?  Cancer is one not to joke with, you must not be a Doctor to become health conscious; early detection is the cure for cancer. It kills and is still killing lots of people. Talking from the aspect of food, Soursop is one fruit that can help the fighting of cancer and even other diseases.

Soursop- Other common names include: Coração de Boi (Mozambique), Evo (Ewe, Volta Region, Ghana), Ekitafeeli (Uganda), Stafeli (Swahili), Aluguntugui (Ga, Greater Accra Region, Ghana), guanábana (Spanish), graviola (Brazilian). The other lesser-known Indian names are shul-ram-fal and Lakshmana Phala, and in Harar (Ethiopia) in Harari language known for centuries as Amba Shoukh (Thorny Mango or Thorny Fruit)

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE(HYPERTENTION)

High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) occurs when the pressure or force with which blood circulating against the walls of the arteries is high. High blood pressure doesn’t cause trouble over a day, weeks or months. It causes problem over many years. High blood pressure is one of the risk factors for stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, damage to eyes, brain damage, arterial aneurysm and so many other diseases.

A normal blood pressure should be 120/80 mmHg, anything above this is abnormal and needs attention. Blood pressure is summarized by two measurements, systolic and diastolic, which depend on whether the heart muscle is contracting (systole) or relaxed between beats (diastole) and equate to a maximum and minimum pressure, respectively.
